Вообще набор авторов не совсем понятен, а именно:

Стражинский - Свадрон Суприм, Лоеб - Алтимейтс. Каким макаром сюда Бендиса занесло, не ясно, но ежели сделает что-то глобальное типа HoM, то нужно будет хвалить мужика... хотя присутсвие Бендиса создает ситуацию "палка о двух концах"

Вот про то я и говорю. Если Бендис будет "генератором идей" - это идеальный вариант. А если полезет сам писать - то не факт, что получится приличная вещь наподобие ХоМ... (В принципе, я даже удивился, когда ХоМ прочитал. Не ожидал от Бендиса.)

Jeph Loeb said that Ultimate Power -- a nine-issue limited series starting in October that he is writing with Brian Michael Bendis and J. Michael Straczynski and Jeph Loeb -- will be a signifcant crossover between the Ultimate Universe and the Squadron Supreme Universe.

"When this is over, there will changes that will stick for both teams," Loeb said during Marvel's Ultimate panel at Wizard World Los Angeles on Sunday.

"It's not going to be these two teams meet, fight, go home and 'that's nice.'"

Bendis will write the first three issues, Straczynski the middle three issues and Loeb the final three issue.

"It's not intended to be a major company crossover," Loeb said, "but more like, 'Hey, this is a really cool story.'"

The artist for the series was not announced, but Loeb said that it was "a major name."

Story details will not revealed either, although Loeb did mention the Ultimate Fantastic Four appear in the first issue.

xelsing судя по интервьюхе Бендис автор концепции, которую, как ни странно, одобрили и Лоеб и Стражинский. А чего бояться - начала арков у Бендиса обычно хорошие...

NRAMA: Speaking of that, was splitting the issues up three ways always part of the plan? Or did someone cheat at rock, paper, scissors and you couldn't come up with one writer?

JMS: After Joe Q. first mentioned it, the early discussions on structure just sort of evolved naturally. Then Brian dialed into the project, and it evolved unnaturally. Most of us out here evolve in slow, measured beats, slowly getting that opposable thumb thing worked out, for instance, where Brian makes these amazing evolutionary leaps, which the rest of us can only watch with stunned astonishment while fumbling around for a shotgun....

BB: I'm a lil' Jewish ninja.

JL: Y'know it's what we all do best. Bendis has that big picture thing going; JMS is watching out the story is driven from a character place and I just want it all to go boom. I loved this idea from the start... actually before anyone thought of it, including me, I loved it. Huh?

NRAMA: Can you give any details in regards to the mechanism of the crossover? How these two universes wind up colliding?

JMS: Reed Richards is up to something, which goes rather startlingly amiss. One of the byproducts is a breakdown of the barrier between the two universes, with disastrous consequences for all sides.

BB: Well said.

JL: But, what makes it so cool -- and a story I think we all wanted to tell is that it is not only a cautionary tale for all comic book universes -- but it will have long, long lasting effects. More on that later.

NRAMA: So obviously without giving away the farm, can you describe in any detail what the conflict driving the story will be - or perhaps in other, broader words, what's going to be interesting about crossing over these two universes and their characters?

JMS: I think it's going to be the level and magnitude of the conflict, especially once it lands in the Supreme Universe, where the carnage is going to be quite extensive. It's also a strong character story for Reed, who has to face the consequences of that situation. As with any good Marvel story, the action and the conflict are driven by character, and this one definitely is among them. It's also going to allow us to show characters we haven't seen before in the same book whomping the bejeezus out of each other.

It's going to be fun.

Кстати по идее то выходит все очень даже не плохо - Бендис пишет начало (че-нить псевдо НФ, с разложением по полочкам) - страшно одно - не было бы там маразма, но учитывая, что будет Рид, то вряд-ли. Вторая часть - Стражинский - политкка + философия + интрига. Лоеб - концовка с кучей мочилова.... Надеюсь, что нам повезет!

Бендис вроде как шороху навести собрался. и это не очень хорошо звучит.
А Ричардс когда-нить доиграется что его грохнут. свои же

Очень интересно, в конце концов - первый кроссовер Алтимейта с чем-то другим, да не с чем-то, а с самой Supreme Power Universe!

Вообще, создается впечатление, что есть два Мультиверса: один классический, который крутится вокруг 616-й, а другой - обновленный, в котором и мир Squadron Supreme алтимизирован, и просто Ultimate есть, плюс Marvel Zombies.

На мой взгляд, данный кроссовер несколько более приемлем, нежели стандартный "ужоснах", который получился бы из кроссовера с 616-й. Да и вообще - когда две современные вселенные кросоверятся, нужда в других кроссоверах попросту отпадает

Завязочка кстати так себе, Ричард непрерывано делает что то подобное. Важна обработка завязочки...

Loeb continued hinting that not everyone from each universe will be returning to their respective homes after the mini-series. Loeb also noted that, timeline-wise, Ultimates 3 (with Joe Madureira) will be set before Ultimate Power, and Ultimates 4 (with McGuinness) will be set after Ultimate Power - "For reasons that will be made clear," Loeb said.

Блин а круто, что герои этих двух шикарных вселенных перемешаются... Что касается того, что серия сюжтено стартует после событий Ultimates 3, то, судя по обложке, дизайны персов от Лоеба и Мадурейры не должны сильно пострадать... Хороший знак!
