Ответ: Dark Wolverine will be told from a third-person perspective, with the focus being on Daken. This book shows that Daken, as one of Norman Osborn's Avengers, does with his time away from the Avengers. He's been given the keys to the kingdom and he fully intends to drive it till the wheels come off.Even if it doesn't always work out as planned.
Вопрос - Can you tease what might happen when Wolverine catches up to his son?
Ответ: Sure–it happens in Wolverine: Origins #34 and it's an utter horror show. Also present at this little family get-together are Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Cannonball and Armor.
Вопрос - Daken seems, in a way, to be even more isolated than Wolverine. As you put yourself in the character's shoes, how does he feel? Which of his father's traits do you see in him?
Ответ: Daken fights like crazy to suppress that part of him that resembles his father... which actually makes them even more evident. Both characters have serious control issues; both of them have vicious tempers. You're right when you say Daken is the more isolated of the two–which is why, when given the opportunity to go out into the world and do basically whatever he wants without concern for reprisals, he jumped. The catch, of course, is that he has to assume the costumed identity of his father–and that doesn't sit well with him.
Daken may have been isolated–and he may be isolated still, even in a team setting–but I don't think that's something he thinks about. He doesn't give a rat's ass about the people around him, except for how he can use them. And if can't use them, then for God's sake, they should probably stop wasting his air. Which, I suppose, is the fundamental difference between Daken and his father. Both are very similar men, except for the issue of compassion. Wolverine has it. Daken doesn't.

Ответ: A bit of both. Daken really doesn't know who he is, yet. He's just recently broken out of the pattern of control that Romulus has kept him in, which is good–but see, that was his identity. Now who is he? He sure as hell isn't Wolverine...Daken knows who he wants to be–he has an end goal–but if the journey is what life is all about, then by the time he achieves his goal (and let's assume he will), he might find that: A) it's not all it's cracked up to be, and b) he's grown beyond his original desires.

Вопрос - How will Dark Wolverine fit in the "Dark Reign" storyline? How are you managing this book's relationship to Dark Avengers?
Ответ: Like I said earlier, Dark Wolverine shows what Daken is up to when he's not doing Avengers stuff. Yes, we acknowledge the events that are happening in the other books, but it isn't our focus. Later in the series, possibly–maybe when things in the MU get a bit more...unstable–that may change. Also, Daken's participation in the Wolverine: Origins storyline isn't yet over...not by a long shot!
What readers should know going into Dark Wolverine is that Daken isn't Wolverine–he just plays him on TV. Daken has his own agenda, his own set of goals that he wants to accomplish–things he wants to get while the getting is good. Like you stated earlier, Daken has led a very sheltered existence. This is his time in the sun and he plans to enjoy it. Unfortunately for the rest of the Marvel U, when Daken is having a good time, someone else...uh...isn't.
Вопрос - Wolverine's always had his one-liners. Dark Avengers has already had some witty moments. And Daniel, you've been writing one of the funniest books out there with Deadpool. Will Dark Wolverine have a sardonic tone?
Ответ: Definitely.Anyone who has read my take on Bullseye has seen a preview of how I intend to handle Daken's sense of "humor."

Ответ: Ever since he showed up in Origins, Daken has been causing a stir in the fan community. My goal with Dark Wolverine is to keep that going, while at the same time introducing Daken to the rest MU.
